Privacy policy

Your moments belong to you.

Effective September 27, 2026

This policy explains how MindGlitter handles information when you use the MindGlitter mobile app or visit mindglitter.ai. MindGlitter is designed to offer supportive moments while keeping your private reflections under your control.

The MindGlitter app

Location

If you grant permission, the app uses your device's location to recognize when you arrive at a portal you chose or a MindGlitter portal available to you. Location permission may operate in the background so an arrival can be recognized when the app is not open. Apple's location and geofencing services perform this recognition on your device. MindGlitter does not use your location for advertising and does not sell precise location information.

Notifications

If you grant notification permission, the app uses notifications to deliver a MindGlitter moment after a qualifying arrival. A notification may include the title and text of that moment. You can change location or notification permission at any time in your device settings.

Reflections and journal entries

Reflection and journaling are optional. Entries you save in the app are stored locally on your device. MindGlitter does not receive, read, sell, or share those entries. Removing the app or clearing its data may remove locally stored entries, so retain anything you do not want to lose elsewhere.

App content and technical services

The app connects to service providers, including Firebase services, to retrieve and maintain MindGlitter content and support app operation. Those providers may process basic technical information such as IP address, device or app details, request timing, and diagnostic or security information as part of delivering their services. MindGlitter does not use this information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

The MindGlitter website

The current website experience does not require a public account. Reflections saved in the website experience remain in your browser's local storage and are not submitted to MindGlitter. Portal-arrival reporting uses limited, non-identifying event counts to understand whether an experience was reached; it does not include a name, email address, precise location, or reflection.

If you contact MindGlitter about the app or request technical help, MindGlitter collects the information you choose to provide. Depending on the form, that may include your email address, optional first name, area of interest, device type, location label, and the note or issue you submit. We use it only to respond, manage your request, troubleshoot, and send related updates you agreed to receive. Please do not include health, payment, journal, or other sensitive information in a form.

On the MindGlitter Moments page, we record page landings, clicks on the celebration link, and successful inquiries with their time, campaign link tags, an anonymous browser identifier, a visit identifier, and broad device category. Campaign tags and visit identifiers are also saved with a Moments inquiry so we can see which placements led to requests. The browser identifier is kept in your browser storage; clearing it resets that identifier. We use this information to measure the offer and its sources, not for third-party advertising.

Sharing, retention, and choices

MindGlitter does not sell personal information. We disclose information only to service providers that help operate the app or website, when you direct us to, or when required for legal, safety, or security reasons. Information submitted through a website form is kept only as long as reasonably needed for the request, our records, and applicable legal obligations.

You may decline location or notification permission and still use features that do not require it. You may also ask to access, correct, or delete personal information you submitted through the website. These rights may vary based on where you live.

Children

MindGlitter is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Website contact and interest forms are intended for adults 18 and older.

Security and changes

We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information we handle, but no system can guarantee absolute security. We may update this policy as MindGlitter evolves. The effective date at the top of this page will show when it was last revised.
